Since its foundatio​​n in 1997, The Hawthorne Club has provided more than $520,000 to the Rugby community in Newcastle and the Hunter region.

In 2012, the Club introduced the Hawthorne Club Rugby Support Program. The program aims to increase Rugby activities for Juniors, increase Club support and further work with Australian Rugby Union and the Hunter Academy of Sport. 

Each year the Club holds four major events for its members and guests. These events combine fundraising activities with a line-up of international and national guest speakers.​

Mid-Season Lunch - Book now!

Bookings for The Hawthorne Club Mid-Season Lunch are now open.  The lunch will be held on Friday 23rd June 2017 at The Newcastle Club.  Members and guests will have the wonderful opportunity to hear from Guest of Honour, former Wallaby, Luke Burgess.

Season Launch Luncheon 2017

The Hawthorne Club wishes to thank all who contributed and attended to make the Season Launch Luncheon, held together with Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service on 7 April 2017, a resounding success.
