Supporting Hunter Rugby
Since its foundation in 1997, The Hawthorne Club has provided more than $700,000 to the Rugby community in Newcastle and the Hunter region.
In 2012, the Club introduced the Hawthorne Club Rugby Support Program. The program aims to increase Rugby activities for Juniors, increase Club support and further work with Australian Rugby Union and the Hunter Academy of Sport.
Each year the Club holds four major events for its members and guests. These events combine fundraising activities with a line-up of international and national guest speakers.

2018 Member News
With Super Rugby kicking off this weekend we are one step closer to our local rugby season. Details of the Season Launch Luncheon to held in conjunction with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service are below. Tickets can be purchased through the Events page of the website from Monday 19 February 2018.
Members also advised that the first Chairman's Drinks event will be held on Wednesday 4th April 2018, 5:30 to 7:30pm at the Queens Wharf Hotel. Season passes will be available to financial members at this event.
The Committee wishes to thank members who have paid their annual fees and remind others that fees were due after the AGM in December 2017.
